    BIOGRAPHY

Caitlin Elledge is an experienced family law attorney and mediator with a strong commitment to protect and serve her clients, children, and families in types of family law proceedings. Caitlin counsels clients with the purpose of helping to ease some of the uncertainty and fear that so often accompany cases involving marriage or family dissolution.

Caitlin is skilled in helping clients navigate complex financial issues in divorce and works with each client to craft a sound strategy to maximize the chance of a favorable resolution of the case while minimizing any unnecessary stress or difficulty on the family and the family’s finances. In cases involving children, she believes that one of the most important jobs of a family lawyer is to help parents keep their children’s interests at the forefront to avoid unnecessary harm.

Coupled with her experience in family law litigation, Caitlin is also experienced in the field of alternative dispute resolution and is committed to employing the technique best suited to meeting her client’s goals. She has trained in Collaborative Law and Mediation and can advise clients on the best method to effectively and efficiently resolve their case.

Caitlin has unique expertise in the area of guardianships and conservatorships in order to protect family members and loved ones who are disabled or are of advancing age.

Caitlin received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee in 2008 and her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 2011. For two years after graduating from law school, she worked in animal protection law for the Humane Society of the United States in Washington D.C.

Caitlin serves on the Board of Directors of the Community Mediation Center previously on the board of the East Tennessee Collaborative Alliance. She is also a member of the East Tennessee Lawyers Association for Women (ETLAW), the Knoxville Bar Association, and the Tennessee Bar Association. When she’s not working for her clients, Caitlin enjoys soccer and snow skiing.
